Minerals were first to appear on this Earth. Water has a specific geometric form: a tetrahedron, which represents one of the five platonic bodies found in Nature. This form gives us reason to say that water is a liquid crystal. Chemically, water consists of two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen (H2O).
